For those horses exhibiting acute inflammation of the foot, accompanied by strong digital pulses, diagnosed as Acute Laminitis.

For those horses exhibiting chronic abscesses of the sole and wall, black-grey pus in evidence, may show occasional lameness. Those horses commonly viewed as thin soled, are good candidates for chronic abscessing.
